The Indian Society of Anesthesiologists (ISA) is the professional society of anesthesiologists of India. A not-for-profit organization founded in 1947, it exists for the benefits of its members. ISA is recognized as the representative body of the specialty by the Government of India, the Medical Council of India, National Academy of Medical Sciences (NBE) and multiple state governments and universities.
The Society is committed to education, research and improving patient care in the fields of anesthesia, pain, critical care, emergency care, primary care of trauma and perioperative medicine.
